Solomon Schechter Sustainable Garden Project
Solomon Schechter is a K-12 Jewish day school
located in Westchester. Greenleaf Gardens began working with the school in 2009. Our objectives are:
- To Design, install and facilitate a regenerative garden project that
provides organic produce, including vegetables, herbs and flowers, for the Solomon Schechter.
- To integrate the garden into the Solomon Schechter learning community through the ongoing
demonstration of curriculum connections in sustainability education, horticulture education and a full circle cafeteria composting
system.
