Summer Gardening Camp
Bridging spring/fall curriculum by digging in and having fun!

We offer a series of dynamic gardening programs to be held at your Summer Camp facility and coincide with your scheduling needs.  Campers will learn about how nature's systems relate to how we grow food, play interactive games that reinforce gardening know-how, complete take-home planting crafts, and truly "dig-in" to learn how to use proper tools to create spectacular results.

Packages include:gardenpics/Sesweb.JPG

  • Garden installation, if necessary.
  • Up to 8 consecutive weeks of visits for maintenance and hands-on educational programming.
  • A flexible programming schedule.
  • At least 1 garden educator for every 20 children (usually in 45 minute to 1 hour long sessions per group.)
  • Appropriate tools for the children to work with and training in how to use them properly(A total of 10 hours of exciting planting, bug-hunting, digging, and garden game/craft activities).
We deliver fun, engaging activities as well as beautiful results in the garden.  Time spent in the garden will include scavenger hunts, digging for bugs, craft activities such as painting terracotta pots and planting them with flowers or building mosiac stepping-stones, and lessons on how to prepare the fruits and veggies being grown.
Our camp is a great opportunity to bridge the sustainable living lessons learned in the classroom over the summer break, while also showing support for the Greenleaf Gardens initiative.
